Bridget Nicholls has returned from her Churchill Travel Fellowship. In 2020 Bridget was awarded a Churchill Travel Fellowship. Due to the Covid -19 pandemic she travelled in 2023-24. Highlights were meeting the eminent Neurologist and Entomologists, Takishi Yoro and his daughter Akika .

Bridget travelled to Meghalaya in India to learn from the local silk co-operatives how to harvest silk worms and weave their silk. Silk is a vast subject … it transpired …

Bridget travelled to understand how insects are seen culturally in Asia and the USA. From Japanese ‘Mushi’ Manga, to non-pesticide Indian silk makers, She hopes her new thinking will be utilised across the environmental movement, from eco-fashion designers to serious scientists, youth activists and politicians.
